Important Notes

During the testing period

Google expects developers to test the app carefully and fix bugs before moving to production.
During the 14-day window, ship at least 2 updates — around day 5 and day 10. Even a build-number bump re-uploaded to Closed Testing is enough; testers receive updates automatically.
You can update more than twice — there's no limit. Update timing can be adjusted to match your real development and bug-fixing progress.
Once the 14 days are complete, Google Play Console will show "Apply for production." You'll need to fill out a form similar to the sample below — content can be adapted to your actual app (or I can send you an app-specific version on request).

Warranty conditions

Customers who don't follow the testing process above will NOT be covered by the warranty if Google rejects the app.

Production Access Questionnaire

Sample answers you can adapt

This is the form Google shows when you apply for production access. Below is a real sample — customize the wording for your own app, or ask me for one tailored to yours.

Sample

Originally written for a medication reminder & health tracking app — adjust the specifics to match yours.

Note: the actual form on Google Play Console is in English, so the sample answers below are kept in English for direct copy-paste.

How did you recruit users for your closed test?

Testers were recruited through paid testing services and personal outreach. Friends and health-conscious users participated, while the provider supplied users with diverse devices, ensuring balanced feedback for the medication reminder and health tracking app.

How easy was it to recruit testers for your app?

Easy

Describe the engagement you received from testers during your closed test.

Testers were highly engaged and provided valuable UI/UX feedback, suggesting faster transitions, smoother animations, and clearer layouts, which significantly improved overall app satisfaction.

Provide a summary of the feedback that you received from testers. Include how you collected the feedback.

Feedback highlighted the importance of improving app performance and enhancing animations for a smoother experience. These insights were gathered through surveys and group discussions with friends and family testers.

Who is the intended audience for your app?

The app is intended for individuals who need help managing daily medications and monitoring their health, including busy adults, seniors, and caregivers supporting family members.

Describe how your app provides value to the users.

The app helps users take medications on time, track their health routines, and stay organized with clear reminders and simple insights, reducing missed doses and supporting better long-term health management.

How many installs do you expect your app to have in your first year?

10k – 100k

What changes did you make to your app based on what you learned during your closed test?

We improved overall performance and loading speed, simplified the onboarding experience for first-time users, and refined the user interface to ensure smoother navigation and a more consistent app flow.

How did you decide that your app is ready for production?

After multiple testing cycles and incorporating user feedback, the app now performs reliably across devices and SDK versions. Major bugs were resolved, the UI was optimized for responsiveness and comfort, and the app meets Play Store standards for production release.

What did you do differently this time?

This time, we focused on user feedback and experience refinement rather than adding new features. We prioritized smooth performance, responsive design, and user comfort, resulting in a more polished, stable app that reflects real-world usage and testing insights.

Generate your own answers

Describe your app below, then copy the prompt and paste it into ChatGPT — it'll draft tailored answers to all the questions above, in English, ready to paste into the Google form.

After the review

Once you submit the form, Google will review your testing process. After that review, you'll need to go to public release to officially launch the app — at this stage Google reviews more thoroughly whether the app complies with its policies, and you may need to adjust and resubmit until it reaches production. This stage is outside the scope of the Tester Service.
